Wallis Engineering
Wallis isn’t your typical engineering firm. The people at Wallis genuinely care about the long term impact of civic engineering on our lives. The majority of civil engineering firms usually work with building contractors and they usually concentrate on getting their job done as cheaply as possible so the contractors can get to work on what they like to do… make more money. Wallis on the other hand works exclusively with city governments to develop sustainable solutions that keep cities running smoothly for the long term.
Datnoff Photography
Stephen Datnoff is a photographer that lives and works in the Columbia River Gorge. I built his first website several years ago. This time Stephen wanted a website that he could easily update himself. Using Wordpress as the engine I was able to deliver a website with CMS (Content Management System) that he can not only add content to himself, he can also do it from his iPhone on the road. I will be getting to work soon on phase two of his project which will incorporate a shopping cart feature to sell his prints that he will also be able to update on his own.
Sri Ram Orphanage
The Sri Ram Ashram in Haridwar, India was inspired by Baba Hari Dass and founded in 1984. It is a home for 68 destitute and orphaned children, a school for 500, and a charitable medical clinic. Baba Hari Dass is a Mauni Sadhu, (”silent monk”) who has dedicated his life to the service of humanity. He first came to the attention of the West in the book “Be Here Now” by Ram Dass who was one of his students.
The orphanage directors needed a website that would be simple to use and easy to update.
Usanza Designs
Owner and jewelry designer Amy Parker needed a web store to showcase and sell her handmade products. As a new business owner and busy mother she needed her online store to be affordable and above all easy to use. She would much rather spend time designing jewelry or spending time with her son than figuring out a bunch of technical stuff to run her online shop.
The solution I came up with is about as simple as it gets. She uploads a new image of her product, adds the description and price and the product is on the virtual shelf. When her customers pay with a credit card she gets notice via email and can then ship the product. Stores that carry her products can be alerted via her RSS feed when new products become available.
Nike “FAME15″
I served as Art Director Interactive at Wieden & Kennedy on this promotional contest for Nike. Participants sent in their “money shot” for a moment of fame and a chance at some cool prizes.
Artsplash
Portland State University needed an identity for their “teachers educating teachers project” and a way to get educators engaged in the process. The interface had to be intuitive and enjoyable to use.

Nails QA
I crafted a comprehensive perception management solution for Nails QA: a complete website overhaul, business cards, letterhead, and special promotional tools.
The following is a promotional tool that was used online and at trade shows to help explain their process.
The Great Nature of Chiura Obata
Chiura (cheer-ah) Obata (1885 - 1976), shares his philosophy of life and nature through his sumi paintings of Yosemite.
I was honored to help share the fascinating life of this great man with the world, and I thank the Yosemite Fund, the Sierra Nevada Wilderness Education Project and the Obata family for selecting me for the task.
Wells Fargo
This company guards its brand like an old prospector but it is fun sometimes to work on conservative brands and see how far you can go without rocking the boat… er I mean stagecoach.
This was to promote the client’s “0% Down Campaign.” I included this for historic reasons. This was the first Flash banner ever for Wells Fargo and one of the first Flash banners period.
Lucas Films
While working for the interactive firm Cybersight, I was called upon in the 11th hour to come up with a concept to pitch to Lucas Films. This very odd little presentation was part of the madness that helped us win the bid to redesign starwars.com.
